This has been a crazy few months, over 70 shows and 2 tours. Thanks to everyone who got the record, and who came and said hi after the shows - especially, the girl who gave us all matching pairs of boxer shorts with pictures of her cat - you are all too kind!

But let's cut to the chase.. We have some massive news!
After a leisurely stroll around beautiful Australia, meeting 10,000 friendly locals every night on the Funhouse tour, Pink has made us an irrefusable offer to join her on tour all across the UK and Europe. We could not have had this chance without such a good response from everyone who came to the Pink shows in Australia, so thank YOU for being crazy and loud

After being in this band together for ten years this is the first opportunity we have had to tour and release an album in UK/Europe and we are incredibly excited about getting over there! The album we'll be releasing will be our debut album for the rest of the world. It's making us feel nervy and young again! His voice is very unique and have a color, it's sexy and I like it. I try to find out who is Landon Pigg, and here is my result about him. Read it!

Indie pop/rocker Landon Pigg received his informal musical education via his father's record collection. His first CD ever owned was by popular novelty artist Ray Stevens. Born in Nashville on August 6, 1983, Pigg was the son of a studio musician father and a mother who was fond of poetry. The family moved to Chicago briefly when Pigg was a child, though he returned to Nashville as a teenager.

Soon, Pigg started to delve deeper into music, discovering the artists who eventually inspired his own music. He credits David Mead and Rufus Wainwright for instilling in him an appreciation for a beautiful melody, Radiohead for encouraging him to expel his emotions into his songwriting; and rock music icons the Beatles and Led Zeppelin for exhibiting to him the importance of catchy licks and hooks. Says Pigg: "Maybe there is a naïveté in my approach. I never had a guitar lesson when I started out. I've always felt that when you don't learn all the rules you're much more inclined to break them with a smile." For his self-titled debut, released in 2006, Pigg was guided by producers Dan Brodbeck, Paul Ebersold, and Clif Magness, who worked with such popular artists as 3 Doors Down and Avril Lavigne. ~ Megan Frye, All Music Guide.

Owh my God, I suddenly like him and love his voice when he sang "Falling in Love at the Coffee Shop". And the question is, when he will come to my country, Indonesia? I'll be waiting for you Landon!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1085846705173476554.post-57464224220714447662009-06-04T19:06:00.000-07:002009-06-04T19:07:12.703-07:00Our new clip (a message from Pete Hume)Greetings all!
This is being written on the first day off after our first week on tour. Incidentally thanks to everyone who was a part of the shows so far, you lent your voices & your ears. It's amazing to finally play this album that's been bouncing round our heads for the last couple of years. It's also fun competing with a 15ft wall of of screens for your attention!

In other news we just finished up the video for "Can you Hear Me?", our new single. It's the last track on the album, the emotional high-point, and is one of our favorite tracks. Live, it takes on a life of its own and you just jump on for the ride.
We filmed in Johannesburg, South Africa which seems like a strange place to film.... and it is! We'd met the director Tristin Holmes a couple of years ago. We always had him in the back of our minds because he made powerful, emotional work and had an impressive vocabulary (he used the word 'maelstrom' in general conversation!). We wanted to do something different to anything we've done before so we took a long-shot.
We had no idea what we were in for. In a 4 day shoot, on which I don't think Jon ever got out of soaking wet clothes, we were pummeled with fire-hoses & climbed through rotting drain-pipes. Despite this I think it was definitely worth it.

I hope you enjoy it
Pete

Check out the new clip at myspace.com/evermoreUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1085846705173476554.post-87443825684289633342009-06-04T18:27:00.000-07:002009-06-04T18:29:54.706-07:00Adam Lambert - No BoundariesOhh
Seconds, hours, so many days
You know what you want
But how long can you wait
Every moment lasts forever
When you feel you've lost your way

What if my chances were already gone
I started believing that I could be wrong
But you gave me one good reason
To fight and never walk away
So here I am still holding on

With every step you climb another mountain
Every breath it's harder to believe
You'll make it through the pain
Weather the hurricanes
To get to that one thing
Just when you think the road is going no where
Just when you almost gave up all your dreams
They take you by the hand and show you that you can
There are no boundaries
There are no boundaries

I fought to the limit you stand on the edge
What if today is as good as it gets
Don't know where the future's headed
Nothing's gonna bring me down
Jumped every bridge I've run every line
I risk being safe, I always knew why
I always knew why
So here I am still holding on

With every step you climb another mountain
Every breath it's harder to believe
You'll make it through the pain
Weather the hurricanes
To get to that one thing
Just when you think the road is going no where
Just when you almost gave up all your dreams
They take you by the hand and show you that you can

You can go higher
You can go deeper
There are no boundaries
Above and beneath you
Break every rule cause there's nothing between you and your dreams

With every step you climb another mountain
Every breath it's harder to believe
You'll make it through the pain
Weather the hurricanes
To get to that one thing
Just when you think the road is going no where
Just when you almost gave up all your dreams
They take you by the hand and show you that you can
There are no boundaries
There are no boundaries
There are no boundaries
No boundaries
Yeah, there are no boundariesUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1085846705173476554.post-3041853613771993632009-06-04T18:24:00.000-07:002009-06-04T18:27:23.913-07:00Kris Allen - HeartlessIn the night, i hear 'em talk,
the coldest story ever told.
somewhere far along this road, she lost her soul.
to a man so heartless..
how could you be so heartless? And it is both, relatively speaking. Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends opens with an anthemic riff played not on guitar but on a Persian santur — a hammered dulcimer common to the traditional music of Iraq and Iran. The album's lead single, "Violet Hill," describes a scene in which "priests clutched onto Bibles/Hollowed out to fit their rifles." Half the album's tracks float images of war, while others evoke God, religion or death.

Fun, right? It is, weirdly enough. Viva la Vida is Coldplay's effort to raise the creative bar in the wake of both huge commercial success and some not-insubstantial critical drubbing. But befitting their brand, the record isn't that much of a departure: It's still about stadium-scale melodies and singalong choruses. And while the experimentation makes this their most musically interesting album to date, its political messages are too vague to be heard amid its outsize hooks.

Coldplay have toured the world, and their frontman, Chris Martin, has done outreach in Africa with Oxfam International. So it makes sense that, from the title to the tunes, the set reflects some of the diversity of the band's global fan base, which made 2005's X&Y a Number One record in countries as far-flung as Lebanon, Chile, Malaysia and Thailand, as well as in the U.S. and the U.K. "Cemeteries of London," which evokes an English country ballad, begins the journey in Coldplay's own back yard, with images of a river "where Victorian ghosts pray." The plinking melody of "Strawberry Swing" has the breezy North Pacific lilt of Japanese music. "Yes" finds Martin dropping his voice to an uncharacteristically low octave amid bracing bursts of Arabic-flavored violin in a song addressing that universal pop-song problem: lust. Producer Brian Eno also helped bring the world-music vibe. (While Eno gets top billing, Coldplay enlisted other producers, including Markus Dravs, whose work with Björk and Arcade Fire also merges the odd and the anthemic.) Of course, Eno's work on The Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree, by U2 — a band Coldplay revere and aspire to be — is probably more relevant here.

There are many U2 echoes on Viva la Vida, most notably Jonny Buckland's guitar tone, which is more aggressive than ever. The album's most sublime pop moment is probably "Lost!" a song about holding on against the odds that has the breathtaking loft of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." It builds on a simple church-organ riff, a kick drum and some hand claps to a rhythmically soaring, Edge-like guitar solo. Later, the slashing chords on "Chinese Sleep Chant" are so fierce that Martin's hollered vocals are overwhelmed, the melodic outline of his phrases barely discernible before searing psychedelic riffs erase him entirely.

Which isn't all that difficult to do. One of Martin's signature qualities is his anti-rock-star persona — a big part of what allows so many fans to project themselves into his boots when he's singing about pain or yearning or hope. It's also what makes him a surprisingly excellent hook singer, as he's proved playing foil to artists like Jay-Z ("Beach Chair") and Kanye West ("Homecoming"). No way is Martin going to challenge these egos. He has an admirably Zenlike ability to get out of the way of even his own songs.

But there's something troubling about his lack of clear political messages. In "Violet Hill," he declares, "I don't want to be a soldier/Who the captain of some sinking ship/Would stow, far below" — adding later, "Bury me in armor." In "Lovers in Japan," he states, "Soldiers you've got to soldier on/Sometimes even the right is wrong." Are these peace anthems or encouragements to valiant warriors? Can they be both? Similarly, the title track seems to be about the end of an empire. But its rousing chorus — "I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing/Roman cavalry choirs are singing" — feels like a rallying cry for a Christian empire. Where's an Arabic violin break when you need one?

Coldplay's desire to unite fans around the world with an entertainment they can all relate to is the band's strength, and a worthy goal. But on Viva la Vida, a record that wants to make strong statements, it's also a weakness. Sometimes, to say what needs to be said, you need to risk pissing people off.

SOURCE --> ROLLING STONEUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1085846705173476554.post-9092465929412966822009-03-30T21:05:00.000-07:002009-03-30T21:08:02.364-07:00Coldplay - Viva La VidaI used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead! A natural talent, he's been singing since age 7 and proved his vocal chops early on, becoming a Junior Singer champ on Star Search at the age of 12. Although one of the season's youngest contestants, Archuleta became an early favorite by displaying a maturity beyond his years with humble yet note-perfect performances of songs like "Imagine" and "Shop Around." Archuleta also plays the piano and performs in an a cappella choir group at Murray High School.

Archuleta won his ticket to the Hollywood final auditions at the San Diego tryouts - held at Qualcomm Stadium at the end of July 2007 - with a performance of John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change" with judge Randy Jackson spontaneously joining in to sing the background "waiting" in the song. He was 16 during the Hollywood auditions (where his renditions of Bryan Adams' "Heaven" and Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" were well-received by the judges) and attended school while a part of American Idol's seventh season. His parents were there because he was a minor. Archuleta also took advantage of the decision to allow contestants to play musical instruments when he accompanied himself on piano for his performances of "Crazy", "Another Day in Paradise", and "Angels."

A Los Angeles Times article speculated that Archuleta avoided singing the first verse of "Imagine": because "of his religion (Mormonism), he's unlikely to espouse the song's agnostic ideal . . . with the line about 'no religion too.'" Archuleta did, however, sing the entire song on Good Things Utah when he was 13. During his first performance of "Imagine" on American Idol, when asked by judge Randy Jackson why he didn't sing the first verse, Archuleta said the third verse was his favorite because it has "a great message."

When started singing at age 7, but stopped for several years when it was discovered that he had a paralyzed vocal chord. He is still make music as his life, we can looked it whe he won the Junior category on Star Search in 2003, when he was 12. He also appeared on The Jenny Jones Show to sing "And I Am Telling You" from Dreamgirls. And before he joined American Idol 7th season, he takes voice lessons from the same vocal coach as previous American Idol contestant Carmen Rasmusen. Then become the runner up of the 7th season after beat by David Cook.

David Archuleta have a big family with Jeff Archuleta (Father), Lupe Archuleta (Mother), and Daniel Archuleta (Brother), also his three sisters Claudia Archuleta, Amber Archuleta, and Jazzy Archuleta. David loves his family very much.

In August 2008 Archuleta released "Crush", the first single from his self-titled debut album. The album, released in November 2008, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart; as of March 2009, it sold over 665,000 copies in the United States.

During the Top 7 results show, the contestants were split into two groups. In one group was Syesha Mercado, Brooke White, and Kristy Lee Cook. In the other group was David Cook, Carly Smithson, and Jason Castro. Archuleta was the only one not sorted into a group. He was declared safe after the groups were formed, then was asked to choose the group he thought was safe. He refused, and sat down on the floor of the stage, much like Melinda Doolittle had done the previous season.

In the finale he sang "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", "In This Moment" and "Imagine". Judge Simon Cowell declared that Archuleta won the evening and even David Cook, who ultimately won, thought Archuleta would win: "I have to concede it, the kid came out all three songs and nailed it", said Cook. In the final tally, Archuleta received 44 percent of the votes. After he is graduating from his high, Mraz went to New York City to study musical theater at the school at American Musical and Dramatic Academy, but his plans changed when someone gave him a guitar. "I dropped out of school and spent my days in Central Park learning to play from whoever was out there," he told Rob Brunner in Entertainment Weekly. After spending time in New York, Mraz moved to San Diego, where he played in coffeehouses and earned a weekly gig every Thursday night at Java Joe's, the same Ocean Beach coffeehouse that had hosted a young Jewel's early career. After he had sung there for six months, his performances were sold out for the next year and a half. "It got to the point where I was like, "Joe, can I live here?" he told Brunner. He slept in a booth in the back of the store, and spent his free time hanging out at the beach, playing pool, and drinking coffee.

Mraz's demo disc earned airplay on a San Diego radio station, and he was soon being courted by recording companies, signing with Elektra in 2002. The label's vice president of marketing and artist development, Dane Venable, recalled to Fred Shuster in the Los Angeles Daily News that the company held its first showcase for Mraz at the Mercury Lounge in New York City in 2002. "We thought there'd be 50 to 75 company people and that would be it. When we got to the club, the entire front of the stage was filled with college-age fans who knew every single word to every single song." The fans had learned of the performance through e-mail. Venable said this experience taught him how loyal Mraz's fan base was, and how effective word-of-mouth marketing was for him.

Mraz teamed up with Elektra producer John Alagia and released his first album, Waiting for My Rocket to Come, in October of 2003. Mraz backed up the album with relentless touring and an energetic live show. The album soon took off, largely due to his touring efforts and to one track, "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)," which became a top 40 single. He wrote the song after one of his close friends, Charlie Mingroni, was diagnosed with bone cancer. Mingroni told Mraz that he would live through it, and he did go into remission. Mraz later used the money he made from the song to pay the rent on an apartment in Los Angeles that he lent to Mingroni. Another song from that album, "You and I Both," also became a top radio song. By June of 2004, the album had sold almost 800,000 copies.

In the Palm Beach Post Christa Nieminen wrote, "Mraz has a pitch-perfect voice. His voice both soothes and smiles and nicely complements his laid-back guitar playing." In the Florida Times Nick Marino compared him to singer-songwriters John Mayer and Dave Mathews, but noted that "Mraz's twist is his percussive vocal phrasing. When he gets into a groove, his songs traffic between the coffee house rumblings of Ani DiFranco and the white-boy hip-hop of G. Love."

Mraz has continued to tour and promote his work to an exhausting degree. His father, Tom, observed to Rob Brunner of Entertainment Weekly, "He got into this business because he didn't want to have a day job. But now he's working night and day." On a visit to New York City, Mraz chatted with the cast of the show Rent, who were fans of his work. According to Brunner, Mraz asked them, "You guys do the same show every night. How do you re-create that passion?" He listened gratefully to their advice: "Some days it sucks and you just want to cry. But there are so many people who are watching it for the first time. Even though it's old to us, it's new to them. You have to honor that."

Mraz's folky, easygoing style led him to cross over to unexpected venues and audiences, and in the summer of 2004 he took off on a solo acoustic tour, along with blind guitarist Raul Midon and Hawaiian slack-key guitarist Makana. He was the first pop artist to perform at Disney Hall, a classical music venue in Los Angeles. Shuster commented, "Mraz's tuneful, syncopated delivery and slyly autobiographical songs fit the bill." For the event Mraz performed without his band, using just a singer and his guitar. He told Shuster, "I'll have the freedom to tell stories and talk to the audience. It'll be a complete change of pace."

Gary Bongiovanni, editor of the music industry publication Pollstar, told Shuster, "Jason's doing a lot of things right. He developed organically before radio started playing him so he wasn't rammed down everyone's throats." For his second album Mraz took the bold step of releasing a recording of a live performance. Tonight---Not Again: Jazon Mraz Live at the Eagle Ballroom was recorded at a show in October of 2003 at a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, venue, with guest appearances by Blues Traveler frontman John Popper. The CD came with a DVD showing interviews and backstage action, as well as the concert itself. Mraz told Gary Graff of the Cleveland, Ohio, Plain Dealer, "I'm really proud of it. It was probably one of the most nerve-wracking nights on the tour; we tried to make it just like any other normal day, but it wasn't, with the audience all lit up and the cameras coming from all angles. We were all sweating and nervous, but it came out great. It's a great representation of what we did last year and earlier this year."

Mraz is notably modest and low-key, and has not adopted a big-star persona. While on tour, Mraz brings a stuffed animal named Foster along for good luck. Foster, a chicken, was tossed up onto the stage during a concert, and Mraz noticed that he looked almost exactly like "Binky," his childhood security toy. "I honestly believe Foster is a reincarnation of Binky," Mraz told Laudadio. He told Doreen Arriaga in Teen People, "My dad told me it's important to love what you do. I feel like my wish is granted." Of his chance to live a wild, rock-star life, he said he wasn't interested: "My dream is to live in a house by the sea with a cat."

Began singing as a young teen in a local band, Dressed to Kill; sang on the street in New York City; earned permanent gig at Java Joe's coffeehouse in San Diego, California; signed with Elektra Records, 2002; released debut album, Waiting for My Rocket to Come, 2003; released Tonight, Not Again---Jason Mraz Live at the Eagles Ballroom, 2004. Jason Mraz has only released two albums, yet he has a large and loyal following of fans who bought almost a million copies of his first record largely on the strength of word-of-mouth marketing. The singer-songwriter combines a smooth voice, meaningful lyrics, and a little hip-hop twist in his singing style. Although he got his start singing in coffeehouses, he has since performed at classical venues and on the PBS network, as well as in popular concert halls.

Mraz, whose name rhymes with "has" and means "frost" in Czechoslovakian, grew up in Mechanicsville, Virginia, the son of Tom Mraz, a local postal worker, and June Mraz. As a child, he heard a great deal of pop music, mostly on the oldies station his father listened to that played 1950s and 1960s soul and Motown. As he grew older he became interested in hip-hop and dance music. When he was in high school he was influenced by singer-songwriter Dave Mathews, and realized he could write songs that told stories, and then sing them. "Through Mathews, I started listening to jazz because suddenly there was a saxophone in my life," he told Fred Shuster in the Los Angeles Daily News. He added, "I really love writing lyrics. I love words and internal rhymes. I think of lyrics as a very rhythmic instrument and to twist a message around in there is fun. That's where I really get the most pleasure."

He starred in school musicals and got his first professional gig when he was 13, playing in a local R&B band called Dressed to Kill. The other members were all in their twenties; Mraz, whose voice had not yet changed, sang all the high parts. He recalled to Marisa Laudadio in People, "My hair was like Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block, and I wore big shoulder pads in my jacket."

SOURCE --> Musician GuideUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1085846705173476554.post-49752725600478751762009-03-30T20:19:00.000-07:002009-03-30T20:20:27.928-07:00Jason Mraz - If you don't, I'll tell you what is bingo?!. Bingo is a game often played with a large number of people in halls or other venues. People are either given or purchase cards of 5 X 5 grids that have 25 total numbers on them. Each grid section has a number that is usually paired with letters that run across the top of the grid. A caller pulls out cards or uses bingo balls to call out each number. The players mark their spaces if they have the letter/number combination on their bingo grid card. The goal of bingo is to be the first to get five numbers in a row, horizontally, vertically or diagonally. When a person gets the five numbers, he or she shouts out “BINGO” and may be rewarded with prizes or money, or simply the satisfaction of winning.

Yah, that's bingo games. Do you know my friends when I browse my internet I found a great site about bingo, it's like a socialize site but everything's about bingo lovers. It's named Bingo Hideout. Bingo Hideout is a social network for online bingo fans. There we can make friends with like minded people, chat in the Bingo Forum and find out where we can play free bingo. Beside that we can find, rate and review bingo games in the Bingo Sites Directory. We also can read the latest news about bingo. If you interest with bingo, just go to their website and sign up. So simple, like we've done on other socialize site. You know my friends, when we're sign up there, we can get over £200 in No Deposit Bingo. Really cool!!

Actually, bingo can be a child’s game, but it is much more common as a gambling game used to earn money. So, it's not suitable for the kids if the conditions like that. hahahaha, lol. Since bingo is a popular game, there are now numerous internet gambling sites that offer some variation of the game. These games can include automated features, which mark cards when numbers are displayed on the screen. But, the Bingo Hideout isn't like that. LIke I said before that Bingo Hideout is a website for fans of online bingo, a place where people can meet and relax. The community aspect of Bingo always has and always will be an essential element of the game, however, when there are so many different bingo sites to play at it can often be difficult to keep track of the friends we make while we are playing. Bingo Hideout has been designed to make sure us never lose track of our bingo friends, Bingo Hideout is a social network for online bingo fans. So, bingo!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
